Supplier Update: Overhead Line Equipment for Upcoming Projects July 30, 2008 – Suppliers who are interested in marketing their capability in manufacturing of Overhead Line Equipment, with appropriate Quality, Safety and Environmental attributes / achievements, to the members of APUG can still register their companies’ interest. In June, CLP Power took the leading role in this initiative and has prepared a Request For Information (RFI) on behalf of the APUG members to invite suppliers to participate. The information provided by suppliers will enable APUG members to carry out an assessment of their capabilities to supply overhead line equipment to support their future maintenance and development projects. Since then, APUG have received a number of incoming enquiries about this initiative and the benefits of registration will enable suppliers to present their full profile of capabilities that will normally take considerable effort and resources for individual suppliers and individual utilities to obtain.
